Why is this project important?
The Volunteer Safety Framework provides an effective system to manage volunteer safety across a wide range of activities and operating environments.
Key steps to make it happen
The work health safety Volunteer Safety Framework is a safety system that is enacted whenever a volunteer activity is endorsed by a Department of Environment and Water manager.
As soon as a manager endorses volunteer(s) working in department business, then the agencies ‘duty of care’ under the WHS Act 2012 commences.
A management system is simply a framework that is made up of policy, procedure, forms and checklists. It can be scaled up or down to meet any activity or location, or land tenure.
